Hey There!
My name is Brandon! You must’ve been impressed by the blog if you’ve made it to this point. Thanks for your time! I’ve been at this for a little over a year now, but I’m still pretty much in the starting phase. If you were around for that, then you may have noticed a few changes I’ve made to the website. The changes will continue over time, but for now, this is just a blog.
About the blog
This is a self-improvement blog focused on the 8 different dimensions of wellness. Social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, occupational, financial, environmental, and physical. The mind usually stops short when thinking of wellness. Most think that wellness is only about exercising and nutrition. There is much more to wellness than physical fitness. You could be physically fit yet unwell. I see it all the time. I spend time breaking down each aspect in an interconnected story-like way. If you are new, it is best that you start from the beginning.
Satisfied is the closest thing to happy you’ll ever hope to maintain. This blog presents a practical way to obtain that satisfaction.
There’s a lot to get into, but I’ll nutshell it the best I can right here.
There are 8 dimensions of wellness. If you can find stability in at least 5 of them. You are guaranteed to be satisfied with the trajectory of your life.
About Me
I was born on April 13th, 1993. I’m currently 31 years old living in Richmond, Virginia. I’ve spent pretty much all of my time here, outside of my time in service. I served between the years 2013-2017 in the United States Army as computer and detection systems repairer. 94 Foxtrot was the MOS code. I loved and hated it. Really loved and really hated it. By the time I got out, I was much more mature and wiser than I would have been if I had never went. I whole-heartedly recommend it for the aimless 20 year-old.
I’ve been in the fitness industry for almost 5 years now. Fitness trainer is my current day job. In an effort to generate my own clientele, I came up with the idea for this blog. I’ve always loved writing ever since I was a child. Always wanted to do something useful with that skill. So here we are.
Stick around. Take your time. Watch the growth. And if you share any of The Battle Nerd’s social media posts, as a new blogger, I love you. Seriously.
